In 2015, while still in college, Sidney Henry co-founded 3P Solutions, a company dedicated to providing advanced IT and cybersecurity solutions for government programs. Based on a passion for technology and problem-solving, Sidney’s journey started as a side hustle and has since grown into a thriving business serving clients across the United States.
“I’ve always been obsessed with the idea of hacking,” Sidney shares. After exploring IT and cybersecurity through high school internships, Sidney discovered a niche in government programs, particularly within the Department of Defense (DOD). Realizing his skill set was not only valuable but highly profitable, Sidney decided to turn his passion into a business.
3P Solutions specializes in programming instruments, IT technical solutions, and cybersecurity systems, focusing on complex projects such as the creation of cloud systems for government use. With a team of 11 employees—double its size since the pandemic—the company is growing rapidly.
Like many entrepreneurs, Sidney faced hurdles along the way, particularly in validating the company’s direction. “There was a lot of trial and error,” Sidney explains. “Sometimes it was hard not knowing what steps to take to make the business successful.” Through persistence and learning from mistakes, Sidney and his team charted a path forward.
Today, 3P Solutions is not only thriving but also expanding its services to meet the needs of government agencies across the nation.
Reaching a $1 million revenue milestone had always been a dream for Sidney. Surpassing that, 3P Solutions now generates $2 million annually, cementing its position as a leader in IT and cybersecurity for government programs. Sidney is particularly proud of the company’s role in developing one of the largest cloud systems for the DOD.
These accomplishments reflect 3P Solutions’ dedication to innovation and excellence, and its ability to adapt to the complexities of the industry.
Sidney’s vision for the future includes growing the company to $5 million and beyond, while diversifying its performance. “It’s great to have a niche,” Sidney says, “but expanding our reach and capabilities is the next step.” Despite the challenges that come with working in government sectors, Sidney is optimistic about the company’s potential for continued success.
For aspiring business owners, Sidney shares this simple but powerful advice: “Just jump in and do it. You don’t need a perfect plan—learn from your mistakes and keep going.”
